Love East Nashville

East Nashville Community Church is a church dedicated to sharing God’s love to those in East Nashville that need it most. When talking about people who are hungry, thirsty, strangers, naked, sick, and imprisoned, Jesus said that what you do or don’t do to them is what you do or don’t do to Jesus himself (Matthew 25:31-46). ENCC takes this charge seriously. Their pastor, Matthew Costner, is a visionary for the inner city church. While the harvest is great, having a church in an economically disadvantaged area means that resources go out faster than they come in. Despite the challenges of finances and culture, Matt and his wife Alyson press on, continuing to bring God’s Kingdom to Nashville in a real way.

I am excited to see how I can partner with ENCC. In addition to praying, here are some ideas how you can help:

1. Send them money. Church leaders: consider budgeting to help this church plant.
2. Send a team to participate in a summer mission camp at ENCC. I will be glad to help you with this.
3. Move to East Nashville!

Considering what Jesus said in Matthew 25, how can we not do something to help when the need has been presented to us and we have the ability and resources?
