Will you be a prayer partner?

It’s been nearly two years since God began moving us to Chicago. And since then, prayer has been the most important component to getting us to where we are today. Yes, the money is important, but this only happens with the leading of the Holy Spirit and the power of God.

I must admit, though, that I’ve gone about the prayer partner business all wrong. It hasn’t been a partnership at all. I’m asking you to pray for us, and that’s it.

I want to change that starting today. I want to pray for you on a consistent basis, just as you have been praying for us. Call me or email me with your prayer needs, and we will lift those up to the Father. We want this to be a true partnership.

On the other side of this, we will send our most personal and pertinent updates to those that agree to partner with us. This will be separate from our regular newsletter. Sometimes, there are things close to our hearts that just aren’t ready to be published publicly. We want you to share in those with us.

90 days of prayer for Church in Chicago

We are going to Chicago this summer to plant a church in the Albany Park neighborhood. I want this to be simple and up front: We need people to go with us–for 6 months, for 2 years, for long-term. We need to be building our team.

Kim and I feel led to 90 days of prayer for God to build our team. Would you join us?

Things to know before you commit:

• Please share this post with others who may want to join us in prayer.
• We will officially start on Sunday, January 15 and end on Friday, April 13.

There are several ways you can commit:

• pray as God brings us to your mind
• pray every day
• pray one day each week
• fast one meal each week
• fast one meal each day
• fast one day each week

Just a quick note today.

I just received word that our house is showing tomorrow (Sunday, August 1) somewhere between 2-3. This is the first time our house has shown in over two months. We would appreciate your prayers in this matter. I will post on Monday when we find out what happens. Many thanks!
